Surrender to the wind... 03/18/2011
Last Thursday I ventured into the Big D with BFF Lacy to meet up with Kate Northrup on her Freedom Tour. She was speaking at a local yoga center where we all gathered in a circle on the floor to talk about, >insert scary noise here< you guessed it- Money.
During the conversation, there was a wealth of knowledge presented to us (no pun intended). What stood out most to me was the level at which my money meter was resting.
You know those people in our lives that complain about never having money, but always seem to have more than we do? Consider that it is because their money meter is set much higher than your own.
I first stumbled upon this epiphany when I was playing poker on my phone with The Mister. He said 'why do you always play the small tables? You're never going to win any money that way." Something inside of my clicked. I got it. In my business & life I am TOTALLY playing a small money game.
I don't know about you, but I am ready to go all in. What have I got to lose? The first step I am taking is reading a book that Kate recommends, The Big Leap. Want to read it with me?

PS. I just opened up spaces for sponsorship on my blog! Another step in upleveling my money game. Woot.
Relationships 101: Take Responsibility 03/17/2011
Happiness is not something we are entitled to. It's not something we receive simply for being alive - it is something we actively choose. Something we stride towards. Something we cherish & often something we take for granted.
Same goes for our relationships. Just because you are part of a couple, doesn't mean you have stop trying to achieve The Soulmate Experience. It doesn't mean that you are guaranteed happiness every morning when you awake. & it certainly does not mean that it is your partners responsibility to provide you with it.
You are responsible for your happiness & satisfaction. Is something missing? Are your needs being met? What are you going to choose to do about it? When are you going to start taking action?
My luscious, divine, Goddess friend Lisa Carmen created this Dallas local program where you literally train to become a burlesque dancer. It's called The Burlesque Experience. (WARNING: You are bound to feel sexier just by clicking the link.)
At the end of six week 'training' there is a show - the big reveal. For the first run of the program, there were 7 ladies. I was there. In the audience. Cheering wildly at their beauty, their success, their bravery, courage, brilliance, creativity, their stunning LOVE for themselves. It was breath taking.
I felt better about myself, more sexy, curves & all- just because I was a witness to who they decided they were.
Another program will begin in a few months & I am brewing over the idea of joining myself. I am sure that after reading my rave-review you guys are like 'okay, what are you waiting for'?
I'd say I am about 80% sold - the other part is fear.
I mean, ME, on STAGE- shaking my ta-ta's? Hehe. Sounds kind of fun.
>Pondering< Would love for you to join me, Dallas locals.
Isn't this succulent, just succulent? 03/15/2011
Isn't this succulent, just succulent? I think so.
It's true, I do have a bit of a plant fetish. Lately my day dreams have been filled with thoughts of fresh garden vegetables, luscious green trees & hills of daffodils for my frolicking pleasure.
Lucky for me, spring comes early in the South & the Mister & I will be taking time this weekend to create a space for my first-ever garden (yup- tis true) & getting the grass weed free. Needless to stay, I am stoked.
If you have any gardening tips or tricks you want to share with me, feel free- I am a noob & appreciate education for you far more advanced gardeners out there.
Polishing up my green thumb,
In celebration for the March eCourse Desperately Seeking Passion, I wanted to ask questions to some of the people I have met in the Twitterverse about how they live passionate lives & what passion means to them. With that said, ladies & gents- meet Laura.
In 3 words, tell me what passion feels like to you.
Loving every minute.
What is your most useful outlet to allow your passion to really come alive?
I'm passionate about a lot of things. But when I'm writing creatively is when time stops, nothing else matters, and I fall into the zone where creative juices are flowing and both my mind and soul are happy!
What does passion taste like?
The sweetness of Nutella, combined with the refreshment of lemonade on a hot summer's day, with the comfort of pasta on a cozy Sunday evening.
How do you know when you've found something that falls into the category of your passion?
I fall into deep concentration and I start wishing for no other responsibilities to exist. I wish for a To Do list filled with JUST THIS, every day.
What would you tell someone who had no idea where to begin finding their passion?
I would ask them to dream about what their heaven would be like. If no rules, expectations or limitations existed whatsoever, what you do every day? Although the answer may be something that feels very, very far from their current reality, it's a glimpse into what types of things they should try to make a bit more time for and add into their life, bit by bit.
What is something your passion has taught you?
That's it's what life is all about. If you don't have passion, what do you have? I'm passionate about a lot of things - from peanut butter to sunshine, from exercise to writing, from creative thought to dancing. The point is, I am trying to create a life that has more things in it I can get excited about. It's our primary duty to ourselves and our loved ones to be excited about our life. It's amazing how much value you add to your soul and to the world when you do that.
If your passion, your inner light took form and could speak - what would it say to you?
Woo hoo! Let's dance!

I feel sad today.
I feel that the whole world is in a state of mourning - even if each individual doesn't realize that is why they feel a bit 'off'.
I can bring myself to smile. I can acknowledge all that I have to be grateful for. I trust that we will move past this. I am certain this is part of something much bigger. I have faith that we will prevail.
But still I mourn & I give you permission to do the same. Do not deprive yourself of this necessary process.
Be with your emotions. Acknowledge them. Question them. But do not deny them. They are yours for learning & expanding.
You know those days when you wake up with your honey & immediately both of you are caught in a whirlwind of misunderstanding, irritation, mis-communication and frustration? We've all had those days.
What keeps the cycle going & going is when you both begin to REact to each others irritation. It creates this vortex of anger & sometimes hate. Leaving you both feeling like it is the other person that is causing this turbulence, when really you both have equal parts.
The next time you find yourself in this storm. Stop. Notice what is happening. Take a really, REALLY deep breath and choose your mood. If you want to be happy & loving, be happy & loving. When the other one of you begins with the irritation, don't fuel the flame. Stay in your happy bubble.
I guarantee within an hour- possibly even less you will soon both be residing in your happy love bubble. & there really is no better place to be.

I am totally stoked. Excited. Thrilled. In love with life in this very moment. It's wonderful, amazing & fun. Why you ask? There are a few reasons, let me share:
I am planning a trip to Galveston around April 1st because as you read, I need to dip my does in the sand. Mama Ocean is calling to me and I can't resist her cries.
There are many other things I am thrilled about right now. But I don't like to create long blog posts, so I'll save the rest for another week.
What accomplishments can you celebrate in your life today? I wanna party with you!
PS. My Enchanted Intentions are BOOMING - I would love to have you in the mix. XO
Grow Your Glow with @Lauren_Sheehan 03/08/2011
On Tuesday's I share with you the people I come across that touch, move & inspire me & the services they have to offer to the world. I consider this my way to give back to the lovely people who so generously support me.
Have you met my friend Lauren? Yes. That is her in the picture of bendy & gorgeous. I met Lauren through Twitter or Owning Pink a while back - I can't remember which.
We met briefly when I went to Austin several months ago. I had the pleasure of experiencing a private Feminine Rhythm session with her & my gal pal.
It was intense. It brought about a whole new self-awareness within me. Just that one session allowed me to give myself permission to check - in with me more often.
Anywho, Lauren just created this kick-ass ebook called Grow Your Glow. It's free & it's yours by clicking this link. I love her & you should too.
This will send you a fresh copy of my blog every time I write a new post and update you on special offers.
