It has been a great while since I have written poetry. Writing has always been one of my great passions. Lately I have felt called to write, share, speak aloud some of my poems. I wrote this one this morning & wanted to share - enjoy!
Always moving, shifting, changing, growing, e x p a n d i n g
The need to let go, so that more can flow
Feed your soul, not your habits
Self awareness caters to balance & essentially
An emotion that is crucial to our survival
Gratitude is what will get, keep, make this ball
Into a new dimension of Light Workers, healers
A place where all of our powers can come
Before our very eyes we manifest greatness
A world transformed by the power of
But only the combination of that & action
Will take us there- that place we long to be
PS. I love you. I feel the transition happening too - it's all going to be okay. This is part of a bigger picture. Breathe.
I poured my heart and soul into the creation of ROOTED and the birth of it gave new life to my desires & creativity. The lovelies who took ROOTED the first go round had very much the same experience. They found themselves rolling in
New jobs, new relationships, reNEWEDrelationships, approaching life from a new perspective, forgiveness, release, success, acceptance and above all else, LOVE.
I am not claiming that ROOTED is the cure & solution to all the big question dilemmas you've been experiencing in your life. I am not even declaring that YOU NEED This course. Only you truly know what you need. No one else can decide that for you.
ROOTED begins May 2nd. The possibilities are endless. Change only happens where there is action. You have to be the cause for movement.
They took off their shoes & socks, threw their feet up on a chair & said ‘oh well, fuck it!’ 04/27/2011
I don’t know about you, but I feel as if my ambition & creativity have willingly taken a backseat. They took off their shoes & socks, threw their feet up on a chair & said ‘oh well, fuck it!’
I am finding it difficult to write, draw, paint, collage, speak, share, digitally design, garden, co-collaborate, sleep, read, meditate - you name it, there is resistance.
That word seems to be coming up a lot lately- resistance.
I read a blog by Marie Forleo recently where she mentioned resistance in this awesome interview with her favorite author Steven Pressfield - it seems that the common thread of our existence at this moment is resistance.
I do walk the talk that supports the idea that where there is resistance, there is a break through waiting for you. I believe that where we have to stretch ourselves, our beliefs, our ideas, our comfort zone - there is growth expansion & never-ending realizations available.
Not only that, but it is my truth that the amount of resistance you are experiencing is of equal proportion to the breakthrough that is waiting for you on the other side.
How do you like them apples?
With that said, I went in search of something to break me from my funk & this is what I found. (This will make you feel better if you listen FULLY)

I spent most of last week in a brain fog. I cancelled almost all of my appointments, avoided going outside (due to my horrific allergies), & slept a whole lot.
This morning in the midst of finding my footing again I responded to an email from a Twitter friend, Mona of Some Like It Raw. In the bottom paragraph of her email she had some questions about the goals & dreams I have for my business.
While trying to come up with a tangible response I realized that at this moment I have no REAL clear end result for what I want to happen in my business.
Here I am reading The Big Leap to uplevel my abundance in my business & I have no idea what I really want to be doing to manifest this abundance - silly, Me.
I figured that since I was experiencing this abundance-fog, many of you might be going through the same thing. Here are some questions I plan on addressing to help me get clear on what I want & where I can create abundance in my business...

What the Alpacas taught me 04/21/2011
I had never been around Alpaca's until my recent trip to A Day Away Retreat in Boyd, Texas. I know I keep talking about this place, but I can't help to reminiscence of the exceptional clarity I had during & well after my visit.
Here's a few of the things I learned about these kind & gentle creatures...
The thought occurred to me of just how insane it is that I spend time my day worrying about how things will get taken care of, paid for, completed. When there are entire species existing of which I have never come into contact with & their life goes on.
I don't have to think about whether they live or die, breathe or eat - they just exist. Happily (for the most part).
The same thing happens with millions of other people & families & friends of neighbors & so on. The hows of a task do not require your constant attention & focus for them to do what they do. In fact, that's the easy part. The hands-off part of manifesting & living.
Your job is to take action where you can.
PS. I reached my goal of having 10 people registered for ROOTED this week! Moving my goal up to 20 now. If you have questions about the course concerning time, material, payment, etc. Please message me. I'd love to figure it out with you.
Chanting my way to a new point of view 04/20/2011
I've never been a fan of chanting. For years I just didn't get it. I thought it was limiting & to some degree the process left me feeling suffocated & demanded of. Maybe it was the uniform-all-together-now type of thing?
Anyway- my point of view quickly changed during my visit at A Day A Way Retreat. A friend named Melinda played a chant for abundance. It was captivating.
As the group stood in a circle holding hands, I could feel the power of our sound drawing in my senses. The process took me on a journey to a land of enchantment & unity. It was beautiful.
I thought I would invite you to give chanting a try. Sing the Om from your heart center. The place where you want love to grow & manifest.
Here is one of my favorite chanting meditations - it's about 2.5 minutes: (unfortunately I can't post the recording here, there are a few short steps to take before you get there- see the following text)
Solving my Upper Limit Problem 04/19/2011
"Because few people understand how the Upper Limit Problem works, many of us believe we are flawed, not destined for greatness or simply not good enough to deserve the dreams we want to achieve." -Gay Hendricks
Last night I found myself standing in my back yard underneath a Full Moon. My view was harbored by full, luscious, green trees & although my allergies are getting the best of me right now, I still long to be in the spirit of nature.
While I was standing there, under the Moon - my mind went to what intention I should set for this next moon phase. (If you didn't know, the power of intention is powerfully multiplied on a Full Moon.)
What came to me crystal clear - is the idea of taking the game I am playing up another level, or two.
As some of you know I have been reading The Big Leap. Gay Hendricks speaks about our 'upper level problems'. He believes that our success thermostat can sometimes be set at a low degree & we will do anything & everything in our power to stay at or below that setting - including self-sabotaging.
I am totally with him on this one. I can retrace numerous steps that I have taken where I am doing really well & then BOOM a tidal wave of destruction hits. I can retrace my actions & behaviors that contributed to the manifestation of the tidal wave. I can see the moment where I look back at the destruction & think to myself, 'see, I knew I couldn't make it to the tops & stay there'.
I don't know about you, but self-sabotaging isn't fun for me anymore. I have big ideas for amazing projects & courses I want to share with the world. & although I don't have dreams of being on Oprah or becoming The President of the United States - my dreams are worth sharing.
If I can make an impact on the small group of people that surround me in a positive way - then I am a success. It only gets bigger & better from there.
How do you define success? What is your Upper Limit Thermostat set at? What are you doing to raise it higher?
