Taking In Arizona 10/04/2010
At this very moment (while I am writing this,) Brawn & I are nearing the edge of New Mexico and Arizona.
Unfortunately, Roswell was somewhat disappointing. We planned on camping, but the rain came in, so we found a cheap hotel instead & saw no aliens. >sad face<
On the brighter side we had a lovely time watching movies on Netflix & munching on cheese & crackers.
For lunch we stopped at a diner called Largo’s in New Mexico. We walked in and more than half the restaurant was wearing camouflage. I was more than out of place with my hot pink hair.
Later, Brawn & I came to the conclusion that it was elk hunting season & the town was in the midst of voyaging out their celebratory hunt.
The best part about Largo’s Diner was the home-style Salisbury steak, brown gravy & mashed potatoes that Brawn had. He was in love. It makes me happy when he gets excited about things. Unfortunately it wasn’t something heart healthy.
I wanted to take a nap just looking at the full plate of delicious.
We also passed Tunstall-McSween Store. We stopped & took a picture. That made Brawn very excited as well. He’s a bit of a history buff. (Something about Billy the Kid?)
In just a few hours we will be arriving at my good friend Carla’s House. It’s weird to think we’ve only met in person two times before now. I feel as though we have been friends for much longer.
I am very much looking forward to the next few days of family fun, hiking, eating at picnic tables & taking the red rock. Love me some Arizona.
PS. Check out the guest post I wrote today on Pixie Mama. I am letting go of being perfect & allowing myself to make mistakes. The location that I am at doesn't have good internet access so I am unable to edit my photos. I was going to hold off posting until I could, but instead I am saying screw it! Enjoy the unedited photos!
This will send you a fresh copy of my blog every time I write a new post and update you on special offers.
