Tossing Out The Old & Welcoming The New 10/20/2010
Last night during my journal time I had planned on making a list of things I wanted to manifest. Instead what I created was a breakdown of what I needed to complete in order to have my room (slash office,) look beautiful & feel finished. One of my mini tasks was to hang up the art work that has been resting on the floor since we moved in (in June.) I started with my vision board, the most important piece of all. When I picked it up it was covered in dog hair from having sat on the floor for so long. (Unfortunately Jack the dog sheds so much we could create an entire new dog, once a week, out of his excess fur.) I decided to take everything off of my vision board so I could take the lint roller to it. As I was removing the straight pins & pictures, I noticed that some of the things I had set the intention to do in January (when I made the vision board,) were already complete. Some of the other photos & quotes didn’t really resonate with me anymore. This made me wonder, how often do I re-evaluate my dreams & goals? The other day Stevi & I were planning December’s Pink Posse Event. We plan to have a bonfire, do some fire ceremony exercises & praise ourselves for all we accomplished through out the year. She reminded me that in January 2010 I said I wanted to do some modeling. My reply to her reminder was a shrug & scrunch of the face. Modeling resonated with me at the beginning of the year. It was something I had always wanted to do. I even had a couple opportunities I could have seized to practice a bit. But the thought of taking on this venture now feels unappealing. It doesn’t feel fun or exciting. Over the course of 2010 my life has taken a different turn & my values lie else where. When I re-do my vision board, I am going to ad some fresh pictures that symbolize my goal for the Rainbow, my eCourse and my spiritual path. After looking at all that I have accomplished since January, I have been re-presenced to the importance of keeping our goals & dreams fresh for manifestation purposes. Do you have a vision board or a list of things you want to achieve or manifest? When is the last time you looked at it? Perhaps it is time to dust off the cobwebs & freshen up your dreams. PS. This is funny... I am planning to set up my vision board today and have been flooded with posts/ messages about vision boards over last couple of days.

I have seen Tricia's work- she is very talented. I love my vision board. When you listen to the Universe and create yours, I would love to see a pic of it.

I'm so glad you wrote about this! It's so true that things change and what you once wanted may not be important anymore and that its okay! It doesn't mean you gave up or failed, it just means that you have moved on.

I keep a vision envelope because for me, I have found that my visions are more likely to manifest if they are out of site. Though, it has been more than six months since I looked in it and I keep thinking that I need to go through it and figure out what needs refreshing.

I hadn't thought of that Christie! What a great idea. I can relate to having the 'seed' out of site as well. I might have to try that one out for fun.
