In 3 words, tell me what passion feels like to you.
invigorating, delightful, sparkly
What is your most useful outlet to allow your passion to really come alive?
It is a toss up. I am so in the flow when I work with folks as a healer and intuitive. It is just amazing to experience the connection with someones higher self and my higher self and The Universe at large. I would also have to say writing. I love other forms of expression, but writing is where the energy just rocks with the greatest grace and ease.
What does passion taste like?
It tastes a Kogi BBQ Short Rib Taco. It’s savory, yet sweet and has a bit of kick. It’s totally addicting. With every bite, I want another one.
How do you know when you've found something that falls into the category of your passion?
I don’t often use the word passion. I know what is meant by it and I totally embrace that. However, it has its root in the word suffering, which doesn’t really do it for me. I prefer the word enthusiasm which comes from the Greek “to be inspired by God.” That definition kind of thrills me and really gives me the direction to know if I am really in that place of magic. I know I have found it when I am filled with enthusiasm...when I just love what I am doing. And even when the initial rush momentum has waned, I still love being in that line energy doing what I love.
What would you tell someone who had no idea where to begin finding their passion?
I think we all have an idea of what thrills us. It is a matter of being brave enough to acknowledge what our dreams are. That is not easy. Often the spark is buried beneath piles judgments that we have about ourselves...But it is there. How we view ourselves and self-worth can get in the way of acknowledging our passions. If you don’t believe you can really be fully engaged in your life then you can’t be. Often our passion seems so big...bigger then we can embrace and live. So we ignore them. But they keep their roots planted. I also remind people that passion doesn’t have to be contained in one thing. It’s not like people have to find that once activity that will do it for them. It’s more about finding the sparkle woven throughout your life. It’s how you like to play. How you create. What lets you breathe deep and feels all tingly excited. From there heart and soul centered creations and projects can be born.
What is something your passion has taught you?
That the callings of my heart, the seeds planted by The Universe...my true passion does not wane. It waited for me patiently to rediscover and rediscover it, until I was in a place to truly delve and play in the energy of it all.
If your passion, your inner light took form and could speak - what would it say to you?
You are a rockstar! Playing in the world on the energy of what you love will bring you to the place of freedom that calls to heart of every one of us. This is what you do. This is who you are. Your passion is one that you would suffer for...one that you have slogged through the great state of muddy I-don’t-knowness until you came to the light. It is one that will always be with you for it is a piece of your souls essence and the essence of The Universal Soul as it longs to know its self...it knows itself through you and the energy that makes your heart sing, your body quiver and mind quiet. It is what the thrills your soul and that is fucking awesome!
