My super-awesome-incredible-bag-of-surrender 07/24/2011
If you've ever taken one of my eCourses or have had a Soul Session with me, chances are you've heard about my super-awesome-incredible-bag-of-surrender. [see photo above] I use this bag at many different occaisions, but always for the same thing - to let go. To had over my problem to God. I learn more and more every day how miraculous it is when we truly give up attempting to control the cirrcumstances of our lives. When we surrender, we can trust that everything will work out in our favor. Often times, far better than we could have imagined in the first place. Today when I visited with my bag of surrender I felt a certain calling to share with you what I was letting go. This is how my super-awesome-incredible-bag-of-surrender works.... I get out a few pieces of paper, grab a marker, pen or whatever I feel called to use. I write down on the paper what I am giving to God. I crumble it up. Say a blessing. Then put it in the bag. Here is what I gave away today:
Try it for yourself my friend. Warning: The process of surrendering can be addictive to some. Please note that in the case of surrendering-addiction one might become consumed with a permanent enlightened, happy state of being. PS. Don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to enter into The Soul Session Scholarship contest. It closes at 12:00pm CST on Monday. Good Luck! Comments07/25/2011 1:04pm
Awesome Megan! I've used (and use) something similar called the 'God Box'. A bit like a piggy-bank, I put all my cares and worries and wants and desires and resentments in it - in doing so I hand them over.
