I began my one-on-one coaching session with Adi of Frame Of Mind Coaching at the beginning of October 2010. I remember specifically because I was at Carla's house when I had my first call.
At that time, I was so stuck in what the conversation of self-care really meant for me. A little while later during the coaching, I was able to make the distinction that to me, self-care & dieting were the same thing. & really- they have nothing to do with one another! It was a truly powerful breakthrough that allowed me to look at my body & love it for all it had done for me.
After that, self-care became a conversation of self-celebration & the furthest thing from dieting you could think of.
I didn't make any New Year resolutions that were directly related to my body this year (which is a first). But something that is showing up for me these days is wanting to replace the bad eating habits I have with good ones.
Not because I want to lose weight, but because I want my body to show what heart feels like; which is peace, love & enlightenment.
So I am going to take it slow & be more conscious. I decided every one-week I am going to remove something from my diet and replace it with something that serves me. This week it is alcohol. I haven't decided I am going to reintroduce myself to this or not, but if I do- it will be with something that is better for me than beer. Like a good wine or potato vodka.
I am going to be loving & patient with myself during this process, because we all know it isn't an easy one.
What are you doing right now that honors yourself & your body? How are you celebrating YOU?
This will send you a fresh copy of my blog every time I write a new post and update you on special offers.
