In preparation for my upcoming March eCourse Desperately Seeking Passion, I wanted to ask questions to some of the people I have met in the Twitterverse about how they live passionate lives & what passion means to them. With that said, ladies & gents - meet Tess.
In 3 words, tell me what passion feels like to you.
excitement, inspiration, vitality
What is your most useful outlet to allow your passion to really come alive?
Inspiring others to live their healthiest lives. I often accomplish this by showing them how to make delicious vegan cuisine.
What does passion taste like?
Dark chocolate and blackberries. And guava kombucha.
How do you know when you've found something that falls into the category of your passion?
I'm a highly intuitive person. I always check in with my inner knowing and can tell right away if something is in alignment with my higher path. Also, it will invigorate me, as I gain a lot of energy every time I am able to help someone else.
What would you tell someone who had no idea where to begin finding their passion?
Try this: Temporarily set aside your fears and limiting thoughts. Ask yourself what makes you happy. The sky's the limit. What do you absolutely love to do? You can also meditate on this very question. Meditation is a great way to tap into your inner knowing and true passion.
What is something your passion has taught you?
To trust. Even if it takes a time, you really can live your dreams and your passions. Our heart's desires are there for a reason and if we pursue our passion with determination and joy, we will inspire others.
If your passion, your inner light took form and could speak - what would it say to you?
I love you. And "keep on following your bliss!"
Quintessence ("Tess") Challis began her holistic health journey in her late teens. After a lifetime of numerous health ailments (including acne, obesity, strep throat, constant illnesses, anxiety, and depression), she found that a vegan diet along with an "inner wellness regime" of meditation and visualization literally made a world of difference.
In 1994, she began sharing this knowledge through cooking classes, catering, meditation classes, and workshops. She has also been a personal chef to many clients across the United States.
In 2008, Tess published the 1st edition of "Radiant Health, Inner Wealth" which was the culmination of knowledge from her many personal experiences and work as a chef and instructor. In 2009, her 2nd edition was published, which has been noted as the most unique, comprehensive book on the subject of holistic health to date.
Tess's latest book, The Two-Week Wellness Solution: The Fast Track to Permanent Weight Loss and Vitality, was recently released. Tess is currently working on her next book (a superfoods cookbook), due out this June. She also works as a wellness coach, personal chef, and cooking class instructor across the U.S.
