This morning I have been consumed with thoughts of the new year & what possibility it holds.
There are some things I want to let go of in 2011- but to be honest, it's kind of scary. I feel deeply called to let go of television all together. Not just cable, but getting rid of the TV entirely. & yes. This is scary for me. Mostly because I haven't approached Brawn with the idea yet. & he LOVES his TV. Before I propose this new plan to him, I feel as though I need to come up with a list of reasons as to why I want to let it go of television & also, things we can do in the place of watching TV. So here it goes. 5 Reasons I Want To Let Go Of Television
8 Things We Can Do In The Place of TV
When I think about life without TV I feel a void available for full-out creativity & self expression. Not to mention exploration & conversation. Now that I am clear about the pros & cons of this situation I am TOTALLY empowered to approach Brawn with this idea. Wish me luck! What is something you are being called to let go of for 2011? Manifestation has been on my mind a lot lately with the new year approaching & all. 2010 was such an amazing year it is going to be difficult to top it! But- you bet your bottoms I am going to try. What are some of the things on your 2011 list that you want to manifest? PS. There is still 1 & 1/2 days left to register for ROOTED at $59.00- don't miss your chance! XO
PS. Right now through December 31st there is a $59 early bird special for ROOTED, the eCourse.
I found myself making more Mama Earth decorations for my table center piece this afternoon & wanted to share the greatness with you. I had my last & final coaching call with Adi of Frame of Mind Coaching for this phase of my certification. I am so grateful we made a heartfelt connection because I know that our journey might be complete for this round of coaching, but it is not complete as friends & possible future business partners.
One incredible thing I got out of this call was that I have a lot to acknowledge myself for. (Something I often over look.) Over the past 10 weeks a lot has happened & without getting into all the details, I want to share three tips with you on how you can introduce self-acknowledgment into your life on a daily basis. Tip One Find a jar. Cut up strips of paper. Place it beside your bed or altar & make it a point each evening to write down one thing you accomplished that day. It can be anything to closing a big deal at work or finally tackling that mountain of dirty dishes in the sink. Just be sure to do it every night. Make it a habit. Tip Two Find a buddy; local or virtual & agree to send an email, text or phone call every evening to share what we have accomplished that day. When you receive the notification be sure to affirm that your buddy did a good job with a 'hell ya!' or 'you go girl!' (I say do it at night so that you have the whole day to look back on to find one or more things you rocked that day.) Tip Three Make a list of five small things each week you want to get done. At the bottom of the least right how you will treat yourself when they are complete. The list should be simple- make the kids a home-made lunch once this week, finish the laundry, make one new friend on Twitter, tell my husband how much I love him and why, plant some new flowers. Don't make your tasks so difficult you can't complete them- then you are just setting yourself up for failure. At the end of the week, treat yourself if you completed two or more of the tasks. The kinder you are to yourself, the greater your space is for excellence. So there ya have it. Let's all make an effort to be kinder to ourselves by incorporating acknowledgment into our lives on a daily basis. I know I am! I was sitting here thinking of what I wanted to share with you all today & then it hit me. I really want to share myself with you in a new and different way. All of my readers & subscribers have contributed to my life in so many ways this year. Some of you even sent me money to help fund my trips! I would love to do something for you all. So please, if you have a request of something you need that I could give you to make your Christmas wish come true, please let me know by leaving a comment below. I will draw one person's name from a hat & I will do what I can to make your Xmas wish come true.
Love to You, These are the last of my Mama Earth photos. The new house we moved into last week doesn't have the same resources to create such beauty in my home. (Also, Fall is over & Winter is here- so the leaves and berries are no more.) I hope my creations inspire you to bring nature into your home creatively. I didn't show them up close, but there are some bundles of sticks tied together with hemp cord. They make for great decor as well. Especially if you find some Holly Berries to stick in the bundle (you know how much I LOVE color.)
